"I wanted so much to step over and pick them up. Several times I tried to move my feet, but they seemed to be nailed to the floor. I knew the pups were mine, all mine, yet I couldn't move. My heart started aching like a drunk grasshopper. I tried to swallow and couldn't. My adams apple wouldn't work. One pup started my way. I held my breath. On he came until I felt a scratchy little foot on mine. The other pup followed. A warm puppy tongue caressed my sore foot. I heard the stationmaster say, 'they already know you'. I knelt down and gathered them in my arms. I buried my face between their wiggling bodies and cried. ~Wilson Rawls, Where the Red Fern Grows, chapter 5.

Sir Bosco and Lady Jane/One girl left!!!
Bosco, our Sire, comes from a long line of Canadian and European Champions, please go to k9data.com, at the bottom of the page type in Autumns Buttered Bosco in the search space. Through his mothers line you can see his lineage all the way back to the first mother of a Golden Retriever litter, Belle!!! Jane is our Dame. She comes from champion show dogs, aka, beauty queens! Her lineage may also be viewed at k9data.com. Bosco is our old boy at 11 he still races up our canyon slopes here in Imnaha, Oregon. He is in tip top shape! He loves to go for rides in the car and snuggle by the woodstove on our laps or feet, whichever we will allow. He is a talker and loves to tell you stories about his day or about how good that scratch behind the ear feels. Jane is, simply put, the most beautiful Golden I have ever seen! She is sweet in personality and sleek in design. She loves to swim and bird hunt and she loves those babies of hers. Oh, and she is a smiler! She smiles about everything! Our Goldens are beautiful and healthy. Consistently ranked as the most popular breed of dog, the Golden Retriever personifies everything we love about dogs-loyal, loving, patient, great with children and eager to please, which makes them easy to train. With such great intelligence, its no wonder that Golden Retrievers excel in obedience competitions and at performing tricks. It is of no surprise that the Golden Retriever ranks hightly on the list of top 10 most affectionate dogs. You will never regret having a Golden Retriever in your life.
Jane is certified with the Orthopedic Foundation for animals, Inc.
